    Hi,

After installing quickbooks and then copying the folder over from a networked machine - to get the data and settings, thought it'd be easiest this way - it would boot and then say that explorer caused a fault and crash.

So I tried a clean install but it won't let me. I've repartitioned the hd's and formatted the disks. No problem doing those things, but as soon as I try and start setup it gives me this SU-0013 error saying that I'm using compression or ntfs and it needs an ms-dos partition to proceed.

    What gives?

    Marty

What version of Windows95 are you trying to install and what type of file system did you format, FAT16 or FAT32?

You will get this error message if you attempt to install Win95 original release on a FAT32 formatted partition intended for Win 95 OSR2 or later Windows versions.

To install Win95 original version, do not enable large drive support when asked during FDISK. That will give you FAT16 partitions and you'll be limited to 2 Gigs maximum size each.

Thanks Zephyr - it started up now with a later version.
