I have a 5600 clevo notebook and I'm trying to install a HP officejet D135 on Windows 2000. I have installed the HP software as the manual said, then restarted the notebook and connected the printer. After the restart the notebook initialised the printer and installed the driver. But here is where the problem comes in. the printer does not print the test page and HP has a software program that installed with the package and it shows that the printer is not connected.

After all this I have tried the latest drivers for the printer, BIOS upgrades for the notebook and Windows 2000 update on the internet.

The notebook has a intel R845MP/MZ chipset, the I/O controller is 82801CAM(ICH3-M) and this controls the USB controller.

    Please advise, thanks

    Hi epsilon4u

    Welcome to the Boards

Go into to BIOS and check to see if ECP is active, if your using parallel connection.... Disregard if using USB.
