    Hi,
A friend of mine is running Windows 95. Someone sent her two little movies with a .mov extension.

Although whe does have a version of QuickTime and Windows Media Player on her computer, neither of them work. She does get the screen when she opens the movie but nothing is showing and if we push the play button it goes across the screen but there is no picture and no sound.

What could be wrong? Is it possible that I can download some media player from the internet, file it to a CD and then install it on her system. I'm just not sure what version would work on Windows 95.

    Thank you for your help.

    Jean

She needs a player that will support .mov files. Either try Changing the file (rename) to a .midi, .avi, .asx, .asf. wm, etc to see if it'll play then, or download a player the same as they were sent with. Ask the person who sent them to save them with another extension, (.midi, or .avi), then resend them to her. I can't help with Quicktime files, don't use it. Hth, George.

Thank you so much for your help. I downloaded the Windows Media Player and will install it on her computer the next time I visit her.

I always seem to get the answer I need on this Forum. Great Job!
