When I click on a link to www.microsoft.com or extended variations of that address I'm getting "Error 403 - Not Authorized to view this page ".

The same thing happens if I type in the address myself.

I tried resetting all Internet Options to "Default" values (the Security, Privacy, and Advanced screens), and also turned off my firewall and pop-up ad killer. Still won't open a microsoft website.

However, I can access Windows Update site.

Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it?
    Regards

Have you tried deleting the files from your temp folder, and the Temporary Internet File Folder?

One of MS's IE patches could be to blame for this. I read about that happening.
