Something weird is happening to my Internet Explorer v 6. I am attached to a LAN and opening IE if just fine. I am connected to my home page immediately. However, if I want to navigate to an address that I have previously visited, I click on the arrow to the right of the address box and there is a 30 second delay for it to drop down.

I have removed and reinstalled IE. I have reinstalled the OS and I have used System File Checker and nothing is reported.

Does anyone know of this and how to fix it?

    Hi

" "I click on the arrow to the right of the address box and there is a 30 second delay for it to drop down." "

You mean the link's dropdown menu ?
    or the address box ?
This may just be temporary --to much internet traffic or you'r isp has to much traffic maybe..

Have you cleared the tif > tools > internet options > delete files
press once and then again and mark the offline content box--
    lately ?
And the history --also on that page ?

    :) Lonny

The arrow that I mean is the arrow that drops down the previous web sites that I have visited that is connected to the address box and next to the Go.

I thought about interenet traffic, but after I have "jump started" it, by that I mean gotten it to work, if functions just fine, until I open a new window. It seems that it is not related to my ISP connection, but something within Windows. I just do not know what to do or where to look
