I have a Gateway computer that I am running Windows 98 OS. I wish to purchase an Epson Photo Printer to use with my system. I already have a HP deskjet 722C which I was using to print pictures, but sometimes the colors of the pictures aren't real looking. My problem is, the Photo Printer uses either a USB port or a parallel port for hook up. Both of my USB ports are used. I only have a serial port open. Can I use the new printer with this type of port? I need to order the printer soon to get a good deal on it, so if anyone can help, please respond soon.:)

USB hubs sometimes give conflicts between devices. A USB card with four additional ports can be had from some of the dealers listed at www.PriceWatch.com for $30 or less, including shipping.
