at times, problems are caused by antivirus programs.

    however, you can download
java machine free for XP users:
    http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html

    Also included in XP SP1

    Install over present installation.

    callmebuttah Hi

Some xp's were shipped without ms java

You can check if it is on your pc by -first enabling show all hiden
files and folders (not sure how with xp) (and _I think)
    doing a search for msjava.dll
Once found if there right click on it and then to properties
    and then the version tab

the latest version is 5.0.3809.0 if its 3805 there will be an update at windows update ---maybe they keep changing things

If no msjava.dll use the link Geezer provided

and go before a connection is established control panel > internet options > security tab > custom level > msvm should be at medium or low ..

near the bottom all scripting should be enabled --(three each)

near the top active x controls five each

    first--- enabled
    2 -disabled
    3-disabled
    4-enabled
    5- enabled

    Has this helped ?
    let us know
    Lonny

Javascript has nothing to do with Java. Javascript is a scripting language dependent on the Windows Scripting Host. It is present whether or not you have Java installed.

    Try reinstalling IE.

    HI
Go to user cp on the forum home page
click on the edit options down near the bottom

Use vBCode quick links on your message input screens?
Enabling this option allows you to quickly manipulate different aspects of your posts including color, font, and size. In addition you can click on smilies to have them inserted into your posts. You may disable this option if it causes problems for you. X yes

    Regards
    Lonny  :( :) :D
