Convert .wks to .xlr?

I have old spreadsheets in MS Works 5.0 that my MS Office 2002/WordPerfect10/QuattroPro10 can't read, or am I missing it? Anybody hear of a converter from the .wks to .xlr or am I gonna have to pay out $$ ? (I didn't say M$ !}

I think the solution may be to open them with the native program (Works 5) and save them in a format that the new program understands, such as .csv. If you don't have the old program, perhaps you can enlist the help of a friend that does. Otherwise, I think M$ has left you twisting in the wind.
