What have I done?

What have I done? I am afraid I 'cleaned' too much out of my computer. I cannot obtain entry into sited like 'paypal'. When I hit the button, it says "The page cannot be displayed ". I have tried all the note suggest, but to no avail. I also run into "Sorry, you don't seem to be able to support JAVA "when trying to gain access to certain sites. Thanks in advance!

 

Your MS version of java is corrupted/missing.
Get the official Sun java for windows at http://java.sun.com/getjava/index.html

Thanks for the reply. I went to the java site and downloaded the software, but I am still getting the same messages. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

 

If you installed the downloads;
Try going into Control Panel\Internet Options, click on the Security tab, highlight the Earth icon labeled Internet by clicking on it, then look down to the right and click on the Default Level button, then click on Apply, then OK.

 

Just a thought here, but wouldn't it work to just reload the browser program? Copy your user folder, uninstall your current browser, then install.

May, or may not work. Just a thought.
