    Hello guys,

I have an HP laptop Omnibook XE3 which has behaved well so fur, except that now it seem to get fairly hot and from time to time, it partially boots up, stops booting up and restarts, and restarts, in a loop.

It appears the only way to prevent this from happening is to give it time to cool.
I seem to remeber there was an issue relative to this particular machine heating up, but I cannot really remember.
    Can anybody help?

    Thank you

    Hi Faxo
How are you doing with your problem? I've done a quick search and have found that heating problems do indeed occur?

    Overheating

    Hi,

I guess I am still having them.
    I run WinME
All I could do is minimize the number of applications running and lay the computer on a couple of CD cases so to let air flow underneath.

I am also making a support with a fan so that I can rest my machine on top of it and activate a fan automatically.

Thank you for the link you provided, I am still reading it.. and thank you for your assistance

Good to hear you're making some progress Faxo. Sorry I couldn't be of much help. Were you able to unload all unneccessary apps from loading at start up?

Could be a build up of dust or dirt on the motherboard especially around the CPU.
