Had a problem last year with OE6 not wanting to open each link in its own window. Followed the directions listed in MS KB Article 256953

This fix seems to work fine, at least for awhile, but for some unknown reason my system continually resets back to "Use DDE" in file types; URL: Gopher Protocol, URL Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, and URL: Hyper Text Transfer Protocol With Privacy.

I realize that I can simply go back into File Types and un-select DDE again, but it occurs so frequently, sometimes more than once a day, that it's become a bit of a pain in the kazoo.

Does anyone know how to make this fix permanent, or perhaps a registry tweak I can make to prevent DDE from being reset?

I'm using WindowsXP Home and OE 6 with all updates installed.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Had already tried the IE/OE Repair to no avail. But thanks anyway.
