porno pop-ups

I have aol and have shut down aol pop-ups, but continue to receive porno pop-ups from microsoft internet explorer, how can I stop this from coming up on my screen. The kids are usually around when this happens and Im not interested in it.

Is this occurring within IE or Windows?

If it is occurring in IE, click on Tools|Internet Options. On the General Tab under Temporary Internet Files click on Delete Files, and then under History click on Clear History.

Now open Windows Explorer and navigate to your Temporary Internet Files folder. Delete all references that appear to be sexual in nature. Deleting cookies from here also deletes the corresponding file from your Cookies folder.

Also, if you have Windows XP, open Services, navigate down to Messenger and set it to Manual or Disabled.
