Deleted a file from floppy thats *very* important. A 24 page assignment.
I recovered it using BadCopy Pro and now when I open it in word it does this:

    Ãà ࡱ á > þÿ
    þÿÿÿ ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ

    etc etc etc

Please help! Every program that says it recovers documents says you need to pay hundreds of quid. Please help! ASAP!

    Word document recovery

This MAY be of help to you in recovering a word document. I've used the technique many times under word 97 and word 6. Should also work for word 2000.

What you need to do first is determine where your .tmp files are stored. Once you have the folder located, sort by date. Then start opening each temp until you find the one that you need. You should be able to tell by the file size, as a 24 page file should be fairly large. Open it and then do a save as and you should have your document back.

And do a BACKUP OF YOUR IMPORTANT FILES SO THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
