I do not want my clock displayed in the Notification area, hence, I uncheck "Show the Clock" in properties. However, whenever I reboot, the clock is back. Anyone have any ideas how to permanently disable the clock?

On a related matter, I also want to "Lock the taskbar" (i.e. keep the same width constantly....again, when I reboot, the taskbar hides icons in my "Quick Launch" and I have to unlock, slide, then re-lock the taskbar...

I know these are very minor issues, but they IRRITATE THE HELL OUT OF ME!!!

Take a look at the download on this page. The author says it will do what you're wanting to do...along with a few other things.

Miz...exactly what I needed.... Thanks alot.....

now, about that taskbar problem :D

Well after putting up with this nuisance for over a year, I find the answer in the "Beta Testers Wanted" thread - Tweaking Toolbox for XP (http://www.tweakingtoolbox.com/tt-xp/) not only has a setting to remove the clock, it also allows for saving the taskbar in its log off position.

Miz, again, thanks for the nice workaround.....interesting program....
