    Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express? What version are you using?

    If you are using OE try this;

    Open OE, click on Tools/Options and select the security tab. Make sure that there is no check-mark in the "Do not allow attachments to be saved...." box.

    Rod,
    The check box you refer to is greyed out and I cannot change it.
    I am using Outlook Express 6.
    Thanks for your quick reply.

    Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools/Internet Options and then click on the Security Tab. Select Custom Level and then scroll down to Downloads and make sure that ENABLE is selected in File Download.

    If that doesn't resolve your problem close IE and OE and then open Regedit and navigate to HK_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express

    In the right-hand pane, delete the value "BlockExeAttachments ".

    Thanks Rod - The regedit part took out the greyed part and allowed me to remove the tick.
