    Hi Guys

Sorry if this has been asked before, but i found nothing on search.
Whats the easiest way to make a program load up everytime you log onto XP. I have a calendar/reminder proggy I want loaded up with i log in. Funny thing is when i had 98 it always use to load up on startup, but its not doing it now in XP.

    Cheers

Create a shortcut to the executable andplace it in the:

    C:\Documents and Settings\[your user id]\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Another method that I like is:

Locate the executable file of the program you want to start and right click it. Select "Send to Desktop as Shortcut." Go to the Desktop, locate the shortcut you just made and hold the cursor on it while you press and hold the right mouse button. Drag the icon to the START button and keep holding the right mouse button down. When the Start menu open, drag the icon up to the All Programs text you see immediately above. Keep on holding the right mouse button down and drag the icon over to the Start Up line you will see on the menu. When the Start Up extended menu open drag the icon into that area and finally, release the right mouse button. Answer to "Move" the item here.

    Cheers. :)

Just in case it is "one of those little overlooked gotcha's, does this program have an setting option within its self that sets a startup option?

Chances are that if it does it does the exact same thing that Zephyr suggests but may be easier by a hair.

    thanks,

I should have tried that myself, but just wanted to make sure..

Did check the proggy, but I don't think there is an option to activate auto on startup...

    cheers
