form filling scanner

When I had a Visioneer scanner, the software would allow me to scan the pre-printed form and then fill in the blanks before saving and printing.

Is there any app that will allow me do this? I gave up the Visioneer company when they decided not to upgrade the driver for my one year old scanner

I believe Acrobat has a feature where you can create forms and then come back and fill in the open blanks. You would need the "writer" version. Don't know if it allows scanning in the original as the "base form ". Again not the scan side in... but doesn't one of the MS Office Work apps. have this form filling capability? I believe any scan in could require some version of OCR programs being present... just a guess.

 

sounds like something to check. I don't have the Acrobat writer but I do have Omnipage OCR. The version of WordPerfect that I have also allows saving into PDF format for Acrobat.

Will try that OCR system if it can also include the various lines etc that the original has. Some places might require that
