I wanted to delete my printer software. I went onto "Add/Remove Programs" and highlighted it, when I chicked on "Delete," My Modem software started to delete. I tried to delete my modem software to see what would happen and it came up as it should. If I click on Delete for my modem it deletes my modem, if I click on my printer it wants to delete my modem software. I have never heard of this. What's happening? Thank you, Chris.

A mysterious one to be sure.

You might just delete the printer from the Printers in your settings. If there is some reason you need to actually delete the files, see if there is a folder for your printer and read the install.log in Notepad. It will tell you what files were installed. You can then look for them and delete them manually. Run a registry cleaner to get rid of those entries.

An alternative is to reinstall the drivers/software to see if that remedies the Add/Remove problem. Some installation setups also have an uninstall option on the first dialog page.

You could also just let Add/Remove take out both your modem and hopefully the printer and then reinstall the modem.

You may have a fax program linked to the printer & your modem .

Go to My Computor , double click on Printers & then right click on the printer & select Delete .
