OE6 - Alert New E-mail

    Is this possible without having to have OE minimized on the taskbar all the time and have an MSN type thing when you get a new email and it says "you have 1 new message" ?

    Not without third party software. For OE to receive mail it must be running.

    The following link is to a third party program that will allow you to minimize OE to the System Tray. It can be set to startup with windows if you like. In essence while it is running OE is open and depending on your sound scheme will notify you of new mail.
