Since last weekend I have been getting notifications back from my ISP (Telus.net) that several messages I sent to parties in the States, mostly AOL accounts and one on "geotec.net" were not able to be delivered. I have check with some of them by phone and they have said their e-mail is apparently working OK. The following is the error message I have been getting from my ISP:

"Your message could not be delivered.

The recipient's computer was not reachable.

This may due to a network problem, the recipient's computer being turned off, or
the recipient's e-mail system not running. Please contact the recipient to
    verify and resend.

Your message was not delivered within 4 days.
Host aol.com is not responding. "

So far all of the messages were sent by me on Jan. 25, 26 & 27. It's not yet 4 days from the 28th so not sure about messages sent then.

Has anyone else had this problem and could it be related to the "Slammer" virus/denial of service problem last weekend?

Also from the error message above it appears the problem is with aol.com.?????

    Any thoughts, advice is appreciated.

    Thanks

Of course you've doubled checked the spelling on the address.

Would be interesting to see what happens if they send you a message and you hit the reply button.

Hi Steve, yes that was the first thing I did. They were all addy's that I have been using for several years. As of this morning, the problem seems to have gone away. Got a response from one AOL address' this morning. She said other people had had problems sending her e-mail's as well.

I will wait a couple more days to see if it has really gone away!!! :D
