I heard there was new burning software that allows you to put as much songs as you want because it reads the space more than the time of the song. does anyone know where I can find this program?

I havent heard of this but it just doesnt seem to pass the common sense test since time and space are related. If it takes "x" amount of space to record "y" amount of time, you still can only fit so much. I think a 80min cd holds 700mb. Maybe some newer method of compression, but then I think it would only work on the burner that did it.

How I came across this was I went to Fry's Electronics and near the enrance they had these CD burners that advertised they had software on the burner that could burn past the 80min. mark. I dont remember the name of the CD burner it was last weekend I saw it and was browsing around to see if there is such a program but so far I find it to be a false advertisement since I havent seen anything about it

What you're talking about is called overburning. There are a lot of programs that support it but there are some catches involved. In short your cd writer and the program you are using both have to support it. If you try it with a burner that doesn't support it you can damage it so if you try it be sure your's does! The gains on an audio cd will vary from perhaps 2 - 10 minutes (more likely toward the lower end) depending on the brand of cd and the capabilities of the writer you use. For an explanation of how this works, have a look at this . Scroll to the heading "disc lenth and overburning ".
