    For the past 2 weeks when I go to Hotmail, I get the error:

    C++ Runtime Error, Program: C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE,
    runtime error R6025- pure virtual function call.

    When this happens I have to shut the computer down and restart because the desktop icons and the menu disappear. It only happens in Hotmail and sometimes after sign in and
    sometimes after opening a message. I am running Windows
    98, IE 6.0 and Outlook Express 6.0. I reverted back to IE5.5 and problem still occured. However, I installed Netscape and am able to access Hotmail in Netscape without a problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob:mad: :mad:

    Could be related to a program: CommonName. Check to see if it appears in your add/remove programs, if so, remove it and see it the problem still appears. If it's not in the add/remove programs, do a "find" for the file through windows explorer. I've seen a couple of references to this program causing errors on pages where a login and password are required. I believe ad-aware will also identify this program.
