    Hi Guys

I hope someone out there can help me here.

I have a W2K PC with Admin and sevral user logins. No I hav'nt forgotten the passwords...

If I log in using my user name all is OK.

If I log in using the Admin or any other user all I get it the mouse on a blue screen.

I searched the Windows Knowledgebase and found a possible answer: that the permissions for the everyone group had been removed. Only problem, I dont have a Everyone Group. This PC (DELL LAPTOP) is used on and off a domain (NT4) which does have the everyone group and all permissions are OK on this.

Any assistance would be very gratefully received.

I am not an expert on this, but it seems like you have corrupted user profiles. I would suggest logging on as the local admin if you can and deleting all the profiles that do not work (leaving your own which seems to be ok), then copying your own profile to the local Default User profile.

Ian - an Everyone local group would be very unusual and you would have to have created it yourself.

Do all the domain logons work OK when it is on the domain? If so, a domain admin logon might make it easier to do the corrections Grunty mentioned.

I'd also suggest a chkdsk /r and sfc /scannow from a cmd window.
