I have also been having problems with IE. Sometimes when I go to a web site, I will get the site but I will also have some of the page missing with the white page stating there was a problem with IE. How can I re-install IE, When it is my primary web site?

Before you get too excited and start re-installing IE and OE do a couple of things first to see if the problems go away:

    1. In IE go to Tools> Internet Options and clean out your Temporary Internet files by clicking on the "Delete" button.

In the same box, also click on "Clear History ".

    2. Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, scroll down and select "Microsoft Internet Explore and Internet Tools" then click on the Add/Remove button. On the next screen that comes up, select the "Repair Internet Explorer" button and click on OK. This will do a repair on IE and OE.

Try the above first to see if your problems go away. This also applies to you other post about OE problems.

    Post back with the results.

Eddie, you must also post up some system specs so we can determine how to repair this if the suggestions that JohnB made about dumping the History and TIF's don't do the trick. I am going to guess that you are running XP with OE6, in which case the IE/OE repair tool isn't an option.

    Please advise.

    did all and still problems

I belong with PeoplePc and they have ran me through all of the things that you have stated here and my IE6 still freezes up. When I am answering my E-mails, I can't click on to any www. lines as when IE opens up it just freezes and all you see is what is beneath it.
    I have had IE6 for over 1 yr (I upgraded from a 5.5).
I like IE6 and this problem only started 2003 when PeoplePC went to SearchALot.com as their homepage.
    Please help.
