Hello I am running Win 98se now and since Microsoft is going to not support 98se in the near future I was thinking about upgrading to Windows 2000 . I have heard that Win 2000 is hard to get installed. What is your opinion ? Does it not install like the other OS's like reformat and then run setup? Thanks you just might change my mine and I will go with something else

You have to reformat your HD to install 2k properly. Installing over 98 will lead to headaches.

There is a whole survey that you might want to look in on this BBS:

    I even commented!

Stay with win98 untill your next computer unless you have a very new computer with plentyof memory. 2k and XP have needs of faster processors and bo coos of memory.

98 will not die like flipping a light switch. There are millions of 95s still out there plugging away even now.

In 3 years maybe you will be ready for a new computer anyway. But in 3 years your computer with win98 would still be useable.
