Please help me find where I can download wsock2.vxd which is A Virtual Device Driver File................. File Version 4.10.0.1998. An MS(c) Windows Sockets TCP/IP Device Driver File.

My exhausting search of the internet (even using dogpile.com) has led me here, and after a few hours, I am ready for some help now..... anyone?

Once you do the fix immediately run these and get the things that killed your winsock.

If you just merely want the file, you can get it from your Win98 install disk. It resides in the Net10.cab file and the version is
4.10.1998.

I f you think some critter bit you, I recommend the fix that Mike has posted.
