System Restore No Points

Running Windows XP Home.. System Restore no longer creates daily or installed program restore points. And all of the previous points deleted. I can still create manual points. System Properties > System Restore 10% 3272 MB plenty of room on 40 gig hard drive. I can find no infromation on this problem any where. HELP!!

Just a thought, disable SR and reboot then enable it and reboot. The reboots may not be needed but it's chicken soup overkill.

Another possibility, perhaps you have disabled Task Scheduler. That would do it also. Please see this M$ article for further info.

Post back if that helps or not.

 

If you have turned System Restore off recently this would explain why you have no previous restore points, turning it off and then back on deletes all previous restore points, but I'm stumped as to why your system is no longer creating daily or installed program updates.

Beings you don't have any previous restore points have you tried turning it off, rebooting, and then turning it back on in an effort to resolve the problem?
