When I set up my new computer in February, I unwittingly had some files transferred from the old computer end up in the 5gb of free space in the online OneDrive. I want nothing to do with OneDrive so I unsnyced it from my computer. Now I'm getting threatening emails from Microsoft365 saying I am 167mb over my 5gb storage limit. It says if I don't remove files or pay to upgrade my account my cloud storage will be deleted on 9-2-2025. I would like to get those files out of the online OneDrive and put them on the hard drive of my new computer, but I'm having trouble figuring out what steps to take to do this.
I sign into my online OneDrive account. When I click on the files or the folders containing them, I don't seem to get any sort of option to move them to my hard drive. I created a new folder on my hard drive to put these files in, but have got no further.
    Any assistance will be appreciated.

Move your mouse over a file(s) and you should see a Circle to the left of the file name. If the file(s) doesn't have a check make - select it to give it a check mark. Then a inch or two above that you should see DOWNLOAD.

You might maybe be able to adjust where the download goes..... If not, just download it and move the file(s) later.

I was able to successfully download some files. It appears as if these were just copies of files I already had on my hard drive, but I put the downloaded files into a folder I created for this purpose. I then deleted those files from the online OneDrive account, which put me under the 5gb limit. Thanks for the assistance.
