Not sure what to do exactly, and don't want to make things worse.
I'm having an issue with 1 usb port, and keep getting the message: "USB device not recognized". I get the same message with multiple USB devices on that port, but all the devices work on a different port.
All USB ports appear to be working correctly when checked in Device Manager. I'm not sure how to identify the problem port in device manager, or I'd try to update that driver only. Thanks for any help.

Hi, When you open USB in Device Manager, open to display the USB Ports and Right click on one then click on Properties > Power Management > is it checked for Windows to switch it off?
Are you using USB 3.0 / 3.1 or USB 2,0 Devices?
Are all your Back Panel USB ports the same type.
There is a Colour Code available to ascertain new types from the old.
Enter USB colour codes in Google Search.

There's a lot to check. Should power management checked to switch it off? The problem port is blue, and I was transferring pics from an android phone. And I tried a zip drive. Thanks

After some more checking.....I switched power management off on all 3 controllers, and there was no change. I re-booted and no change. I ran SFC, and no change.
What I have succeeded in doing was losing 1 of the 3 USB Composite Devices in Device manager.
I now have 3 AMD USB 3.10 eXtensible Host Controller-1.10 (Microsoft), and 2 (1 missing) USB Composite Device, and 3 USB Root Hub (USB 3.0).
I'm afraid I'm going to have to contact the shop that made my computer. Ugh!
