Resolved Cannot login to Spectrum email with Outlook 365

    Trying to upgrade to Outlook 365 from Outlook 2010 but cannot login to Spectrum. Won't accept my password although I can login Spectrum Webmail with it. Spectrum says it's not their problem since I can login to Webmail. I have read in that it has to do with 2 stem verification, but I am not using 2 step. Ideas?

    Are you using these settings?
    • Ensure you have the correct settings for your Spectrum email:
    • Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): mail.twc.com, Port: 993, Encryption: SSL/TLS
    • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.twc.com, Port: 587, Encryption: STARTTLS.

    According to Spectrum's website, my correct settings are:
    • For the domains Brighthouse.com, bak.rr.com, bham.rr.com, cfl.rr.com, emore.rr.com, eufala.rr.com, indy.rr.com, mi.rr.com, panhandle.rr.com, tampabay.rr.com
      • Incoming Email Server: mail.brighthouse.com
      • Outgoing Email Server: mail.brighthouse.com

    1. Incoming Server: mail.brighthouse.com (IMAP)
    2. Outgoing Server: mail.brighthouse.com
    3. User Name: Your Bright House Email address
    4. Password: Your Bright House Email password
    5. IMAP port: 993
    6. SMTP port: 587
    7. SSL/TLS for both incoming and outgoing servers.

      What about 5, 6 & 7?

    Yup. Tried those settings, too. I'm thinking about going back to Outlook 2010. I heard that going back works and at least I'll have my email & calendar working.

    Gave up on trying to do this. Seems to be a pissing contest between Spectrum and MS. Went back to Outlook 2010.

    I'm using Office 2010 and love OUTLOOK.
