Built a new computer a year ago, everything was working great until I renamed it (4 other computers in house and was beginning to be difficult to recognize each one with windows assigned names), everything went smoothly until I restarted the computer, then it shows 2 users, both correct but different names (original name and new name, one with my logo, other just gray with just my name.

When I first set it up I bypassed using a password and PIN so when it asked for a PIN or Password I didn't have either one (both users), I was able to get into Windows by using Microsoft's reset pin option but now when I turn it on I'm seeing 2 users, one which I set up the PIN, the other didn't bother with.

When I renamed it my Avast virus software had updated and required a restart so when I restarted it both the Avast and the new name were both updated, that's when the problem started. My first thought was to use an earlier restore point but it only showed 2, both from when I first built it and now a year old. It's my understanding that Windows automatically sets a restore point weekly as long as System Protection is turned on for the C: drive, checked and it's turned on but isn't setting new restore points, if I reset it with the 2 restore points I'll have to reinstall everything I've added since January 2024 so that isn't an option. At this point I have no idea what to do, I stupidly didn't back up the C: drive on a regular basis, last one I have is from 3/31, 2024 and I've added a lot of programs since then so it's basically useless now. I do have a new backup on an external drive now as of 2 days ago but it has the same problems I have now so no help there. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm out of ideas.

Probably not needed but the specs on the computer are Ryzen 7700 X on an Asus ROG STRYX B650E-F with wi-fi motherboard, using on CPU graphics, 2 TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD running Windows 10 but ready to upgrade to Windows 11 and a Corsair 850 watt PSU.

The pic below is what I see when booting up the computer. Resized_20250110_162740(2)002.jpeg

Never mind, I was able to type netplwiz in the run box, The box "Users must enter a password to log in" was checked so unchecked it and started it again, this time it wanted my PIN, started it once more and all is good started normally but brought up the box to enter my password twice, third time started normally.
