Logging on to Windows 10 without a password OR PIN

    My wife's stepfather died on 13 August 2022 and one of the items that he left us was his almost new ACER laptop.He did, however omit to provide us with the Windows login password and/or PIN. Please help me as I need to get it up and running as a backup to my work machine. I am a 70 year-old self employed copywriter and editor.
