network neighborhood not found

    I am running a 366Mhz, 256MBram, Pll, windows 98 system, that is networked through a D-Link braodband router(cable), to two pc's a hp plll and a sony plll ...... everything worked greaat till yesterday then... when i clicked network on the pll the window opened and the flashlight went to looking for the network to no avail... the pll is seen by both the other pc's and the router ...
    what do i need to do/look for to restore the network to seeable from the pll.... thanks

    Try re-mapping the network on the PII - right click on Network Neighborhood, choose Map Network and proceed from there. The entries for each machine should still be on the drop-down menu.

    If that doesn't work, have any or all of the machines recently installed a firewall or upgraded the one they have?

    Miz,
    did a windows update, reconfigured firewalls, check networking properties, updated and ran anti-virus, the problem is now erractic the nwtwork wil show then won't show, having windows hang on a selective restart...... changed power supply last month... maybe it's cmos change time?

    Open the case and reseat the NIC card. Don't know if it will help but from the way it sounds, maybe.
