I'm normally playing Pandora when I'm on my PC and I've recently been getting distortion in the audio playback whenever I do anything else on the PC, especially involving the internet. Re-booting Windows will eliminate the distortion for a couple of days but it always returns and gets worse over time. It's not an internet speed problem as I'm on fiber with ~275Mb download speed and the issue did not exist on my copper internet with 10Mb down and 1Mb up speed. Not a CPU speed problem either (3.9 Ghz AMD Ryzen 5 5600G). I've run the worthless Windows troubleshooters. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. My issue is not confined to audio distortion, but also brief dropouts, like it is buffering. At it's worst my mouse pointer jumps around instead of moving smoothly. Something is obviously bogging down my PC and I see nothing in Task Manager that might indicate what it might be. And like I said, re-booting Windows makes it go away for a while.

My suggestion would be to look in Tutorials > How to Repair Windows 10.
I think a clean up may be your best bet.;)

Thanks, I'll look into that. I've been thinking I need to reinstall Windows and debating whether to go to Windows 11 in the process (notice I didn't say "upgrade"), but I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about that. I really wish I could have just stayed with Windows 7!
