I have numerous H.264 files on my Windows 10 PC.
These files have been fine for a couple of years, but for some reason they have stopper playing.
I've downloaded VLC and any codec I can find but nothing seems to resolve this issue.
Does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks for the link RL. I've already tried that with VLC but with no luck.
I'm wondering if the 264 files have become corrupt. Unfortunately I deleted the old ones that I knew were ok.

    Did this process not work?
You can play the video an H264 file contains in VideoLAN VLC media player (multiplatform) or File Viewer Plus (Windows). Note that, by default, VLC may not recognize H264 files as valid video files. Therefore, you may have to open your H264 file by selecting File → Open File... from VLC's menu bar, instead of just double-clicking the file.

    Hi RL.
I downloaded and configured VLC as one of my first efforts, but with no luck.
I've been trying to find an H.264 file to run to check if it's the players or corrupt files.

Thanks Pete. It appears it's not my player, but the files being sent to me.
    The H.264 files played perfectly.
At least I'm now pointed in the right direction.

    Thanks to all who helped.
