I've recently migrated my Windows 10 Home to a new platform. My old installation would turn off the monitor but not put up a screen saver or the sign-in screen In other word when I hit a key or move the mouse the desktop would appear. I want the same on this new installation but cannot figure out how to turn that off. I've found various articles on it but none work. I don't know what I did on the old installation but I'm hoping someone here can help me figure this out. TIA.

Go to Settings and search PASSWORD.

You should see an option called -> Require Sign On

    Set it to Never.

Did that. No password is required but still need to click sign-in. And the screen saver is on first.
