Windows can't log me in after win10 update

I still seem to be having the old problem with windows 10 version 21H2 ( os build 19044.1862 ) Microsoft is only able to log me in on a generic account after a win10 update, it gives me a different home screen with only some apps shown, I then have to roll back to a previous backup I can then update windows again and it then seems to work okay.
I have tried logging in several times in case it was a temporary glitch but I still get the same result and I then have to revert to a backup before I can update again and get everything back to normal.
I am running Classic Shell but it happens whether I have it installed or not, sometimes i can do a small update and it is okay it seems the more monthly major updates cause the problem

Restart your device in safe mode and sign in with your original profile. Check to see if your settings and files are restored. Restart your device in normal mode and sign in again with your original profile. Check to see if your settings and files are restored.
