Resolved System Backup keeps failing

Long time!

Win 10 Pro clone with 16 gig of ram and EVGA Precision X1. System is less than a year old.

I'm trying to backup the system and it keeps failling at the end. Theres lot of space on the external HD so I dont know whats going on. And the weird message saying there are bad clusters not backed up doesnt make sense. It's a 500 gig SSD

as Jeezus, I didnt know I cant insert images. anyway, the first image is showing whats going to be backed up, the 2nd shows the progress bar, the 3rd shows the red bar at the end saying the backup failed. sez "new bad clusters were found on the source volume, these clusters were not backed up. (0x8078007D)

What are you using to do the "backup"?
#rd party or MS OS.
Have you done a Disc Check before starting the backup?

 

Well, I was stunned. Looking at the error code, there is even posts on the Microsoft forum from an MVP saying the backup utility is being deprecated and is basically junk. He recommends 3rd party software
