There are also warnings that installing W11 on an early unsupported TPM 2.0/motherboard/CPU may not respond as normal and may in fact slow down in operation.
Graphics with 12X are required, so if this is not supported in CPU or motherboard, the display may suffer.
If W11 is installed in a 10 year old PC it may not function as well as it did prior to the install.
    BE CAREFUL!

I cannot see that many people considering the hardware specs required will decide to upgrade if it means junking their Pc

And how many people and companies stayed with 98 long after it was not supported anymore. Millions of people and I can remember going into several large business that were still using it.

You have until 2025 to decide whether to join the throw away society.o_O:eek:
The biggest problem I see is that there are more hackers and baddies out there than were around in the days of Windows 98.
Also, many big corporates paid for Security patches to keep their OS's including when XP was around.
I think Windows7 is still being used under the same rules?

Have you guys renewed your cell phones every couple of years?
It depends on what you want do with the Technology as the newer cell phones will do nearly everything your PC/Laptop will do.

While I am not sue of the numbers on the hackers,
I wonder how many more PC's are out here now compared to the 98 days?

I've been researching further with my earlier build comp which is running W10 Pro on a Asus M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard DDR3 DIMMS.
This board appears to only have TPM 1.2
My AMD CPU is an FX-6300 6 core processor. 3500Mhz which is not on the MS approved CPU list.
It has a 20-1 Pin TPM connector on the board but the Modules are listed as working on DDR4 boards ONLY
I've seen them priced on Ebay from about $90 up to a mouth watering $200.
Alibaba show them at about $8.00 upwards but the Pin designations don't line up with the Asus
    connections in the Manual.

I'm debating further moves on this comp as it is possible to install W11 using an ISO and RUFUS with a USB drive.
In the long run it may not be worth the effort as after 2025 there may not be any support from MS.
I currently have 2 Desktops (Home Builds) and my 2019 HP Notebook all operating on W11 without problems.
