I have two laptops with Windows 10 and until recently I have been able to hook up both to my TV via a HDMI cable...worked great for years, now when I try it, picture is fine on both but no sound from pc or TV. For both to stop working it occurred to me that maybe a darn Windows update could have created this problem. I have gone past the 10 days whereby I understand I could have gone back to a previous version of Win 10. Anyone else had this problem or more to the point have a solution ?

I am going to assume that you tried a different HDMI cable with no luck.

    Hi,

What Windows 10 build are the laptops using? Did you try updating the video drivers to the latest version?

I would make sure that your Windows 10 builds are all on 20H2 and make sure the video drivers are up to date and see if that helps.
