So, I have Adobe Illustrator 9.0 installed on this older (WIN10/64) confuser, but I really want to take the program OFF this box and install it on my NEW(ish) win10/64 box in my office. I'd gladly buy the bloody program but Adobe is mental when it comes to pricing and I simply can't afford it. Back a bit ago, one could d/l a replacement copy deom Adobe and get the necessary "authorization numbers" from them direct. It appears that this was killed in Dec. 2019.

Since I have a good copy of AI-9 on ths computer I was wondering if there isn't some way of removing it from here and installing it on there? No net change as far as Adobe is concerned, but a real major budgetary help for me.

Failing that, is there a (relatively) inexpensive program which will allow me to edit and work with a RAFT of existing .AI files?

How did you install it originally on this older computer? From a disk or download file? It seems to me you could use that same installation media and code.

My only concern, as far as licensing, is you say you want to install it on your "office" computer. What do you mean by that? Is that a "work" computer used for commercial business? Or just another one of your personal computers that happens to be in a spare bedroom you use as your home computer room/office?

No, long since lost/misplaced/whatevered my original discs and serial, but that would not help, as now, to activate (shoulda used the correct term before) the program you need a separate activation code and the servers at Adobe no longer have these codes available. I've asked and as far as Adobe is concerned, there's nothing they're willing/able/interested in doing to help me out.

My "office" computer merely designates the unit in my "den" as opposed to the unit bequeathed to my wife (replaced her P3 with this one) which she uses for recipes, family correspondence and her (shudder) Facebook account(s).

Thanks for the quick comeback, Bill! Always a pleasure to hear from one of the xperts.

I checked to see if you could purchase a copy --- it's like MS Office --- you pay an annual fee.
Quoted in Aus Dollars it's about $360.00 per year!!!!
What were you paying for the copy you have on your old comp?
