Media Creation Tool 20H2 vs 21H1

The Media Creation Tool versions 20H2 and 21H1 seem to be the same when downloaded here in Sweden. 20H2 downloaded in October 2020, 21H1 in May 2021. See the attached screen shots.

Is it the same in e.g. the U.S.A?

Do they create different installation media (USB-stick)?

 

I have created two USB-sticks, one using the previously downloaded MCT for 20H2 and the other using the recently downloaded MCT for 21H1. They create "the same" USB-stick.

Previous versions of the MCT had individual version numbers and if I ran the MCT for 1909 after the MCT 2004 had been released, it still created the USB-stick for 1909.

It seems like those days are over but is there a way to verify which version the created USB-stick will install?

Ladda ned Windows 10
and the U.S. site
Download Windows 10
create the same tool.

My conclusion is that if you want to be able to roll back to a previous version, using a USB-stick, that USB-stick has to be created before a more recent version is released.
