Problem with window disapearing

I am having a problem with the active window disappearing and reverting top the desktop if i then move the mouse the active window then reappears , I have updated my video driver to the latest version and reinstalled the mouse driver and plugged the mouse into a different usb port but it still keeps happening, I would be grateful if someone could help

 

Is this with any window that you have open? Browser, email, play a game etc.

 

The option to turn on Activate a Window by hovering over with the mouse is not ticked, the window sometimes just disappears when using programs like Word or Quicken or email etc. but reappears as soon as i move the mouse even just a little and no i only use one monitor
Also I should have wished everybody a Happy New year

 

I have tried a new corded USB mouse and also a USB cordless mouse but it still does the same

The box referred to on the page ( Active a window by hovering over it with the mouse ) is unchecked, it happens when a window is maximized and the mouse pointer is inside the window, it just disappears and moving the mouse just a fraction makes it reappear.
