W10 Update 20H2

I've just received the update on this comp which took 3 minutes from D/L to Install finish.
2 other comps have been updated to 20H2 - one took 7 mins and the other 10 minutes.
No problems yet!

 

I got 2 of them. KB4579311 and KB4577266. I am guessing that they decided that I needed the 2004 update as it has been sitting on my PC for quite a while now and it is gone. The second KB is for it. The first one is for 20H2. Also got a notice that an app caused a problem with the default app setting for .html files was reset to MS Edge.

 

Microsoft wants to thrust Edge on everyone so it changes the default app for .html to Edge, regardless of what browser you want to use.
I updated 2 of my computers to 20H2 & on both the computers I received the same error message.

rsinfo, my Default settings have not altered - FF is still my Browser of choice in 20H2.

Christer, 20H2 is the newest W10 Update released last month. Also known as Version 2009.

 

The only thing that I have found that doesn't work is Windows Live Mail. Won't send or receive. I have to go to the Server and check my mail.

 

I don't have any problems with my emails - I've used TB for years.

 

Mine too but I still got the error message - twice. Perhaps Microsoft is trying to tell us something.

 

My FF is my choice also. Still can't get mail in WLM. May try to download it again and see if it works then. Got to write down my settings first.

 

Still no go today also.
Acts like the POP3 and the SMTP settings are wrong. I have been using the same settings since back in the Win 98 days. I googled it and changed both of those all around and still no go. Was worse than the original settings.

 

My biggest problem is the random security sign ins that MS is doing.
All I want to do is Start the comp and use it and when MS says my Password is wrong - that really gets me going!

 

And now MS is trying to force you to use Microsoft Account instead of local account. Almost every time when I log in, I get a dialogue box to select services which are closely tied to Microsoft account. Yuck.
