Resolved How to configure Outlook to recevie and send verizon.net emails (AOL)

My daughter has Windows 10 home and Office version 18.2006.1031.0 with Outlook version 16005.13110. She did research on the web and attempted to configure outlook for her email. (She does not remember which link she used to attempt the configuration.) Anyway, She is unable to get her Outlook to send and receive Verizon.net email. She was able to configure Outlook for her Gmail account.
This is on her new HP laptop. Suggestions please. Thank you

Yes. She found a site that told actual smtp settings etc. somehow that did not work I am assuming she missed something but not sure what. She needs to know best way to go thru set up process. As I said, she configured for gmail receive and send with no difficulty

 

Thank You. I have told her to try following the link step by step and to try again. Unfortunately I cant help her in person or I would. I will post when she lets me know if it works or not.

 

That is exactly what she did the first time and tried again and it does not work. She cannot send or receive verizon n email in her outlook program. We have no idea what next?

Took awhile and tried everything. She had done everything suggested here the first time.
Finally today my daughter's friend figured it out.
He found something in trouble shooting about another password that includes AOL ,however it doesn’t have instructions on how to get the password for AOL just the other accounts like Gmail
He figured out that it needed a third party access password.
