I set my scan to 2:00 pm weekly but it automatically changes without any input on my part. Am I missing anything?

Are you sure you are selecting "Save" when done? What does it change to?

Yeah I selected save. It highlights blue then I go back to the main interface. Under scan it shows the right time but about fours later it scans again. I went back to select a scan time and it is set to a random time. Not the 2:00 pm scan or the random scan I get about four hours later.

I don't know what is going on. It works for me. You mention 4 hours. I note the default is to check for new "updates" every 4 hours. That is not the same as scanning. That's just making sure the Premium (real time option) is looking for the latest threats in real-time.

Also, if the system is shut down when it is scheduled to scan, it may scan next time you start the computer.

. It just scanned about twenty minutes ago (the 2 pm scan I had set up) and now the scheduled scan is set to scan again at 5:30 pm. I didn't make this change. It seems like Malwarebytes is automatically running a scheduled scan every four hours.

My scan schedule does a threat scan every day at 2:00pm and at 5:15 pm. What schedules the 5:15 scan? And it just now gave notification that another scan has completed. It's 7:05 pm.

You might see if there is a reset to default settings, or go visit the Malwarebytes forum as there will be more Malwarebytes users, including Malwarebytes developers with more expertise in this area than me.

I searched MalwareBytes forums and support for a few hours and found out I had to go to the Scan Scheduler and delete the scans I didn't need to run. Apparently I had three scans set to run at different times. How I did this I do not know. All I know is that I have finally got too old for this uh... stuff.

Bill, sorry I sounded somewhat hardheaded. and thank you for your help.

No apologies needed. I guess I need to apologize for not suggesting the obvious - "Did you check the scheduler to see if other scans are scheduled?".

What threw me is you said your scheduled scan was being "changed". So I thought you were setting a scan schedule time for 2PM but then the schedule was being changed somehow. to 6PM.

Anyway, I am glad you got it sorted out and thanks for coming back and posting the solution.
