For some reason, on one of my computers, Firefox 77 has removed the list of "disabled" extensions. On two other computers the list remains visible, just above the list of "Recommended Extensions".

Not too significant, but I would like to see, check, if the disabled extensions are held somewhere on file so that I could locate and delete them.

Not sure where they would be, although there a number of mysterious files in the C:\Users\nnn\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ folder.

Thx, but that page shows the various ways to re-enable add-ons after the fiasco with a Firefox update, (around v60 iirc), which was, at the time a godsend, but that particular issue was fixed in later releases.

My issue is different. No "live" add-ons have been affected but there used to be a list of disabled add-ons which was a useful reference, although, tbh, after v57, (Quantum), was released most of those became incompatible.

It is possible that I could have removed all disabled add-ons manually, (but, if so, I certainly have no recollection of so doing), or those, presumably no longer usable add-ons were automatically deleted.

This didn't happen with Firebug, as an example, on my other computers, it was simply disabled but placed, (and remains) on the disabled list.

On this computer Firebug remained on the enabled list but was obviously no longer active. I wonder if that was an artefact of issue noted above. Anyway I removed Firebug and that, as you would expect, disappeared, so the system seems fine.

I've just added a new, (to me), add-on for testing purposes, [Flagfox, if you are interested "Displays a country flag depicting the location of the current website's server and provides a multitude of tools such as site safety checks, whois, translation, similar sites, validation, URL shortening, and more..."]

If it becomes tiresome in the next few days I'll remove it.

Just a late thought. There are now, of course, no "disable" options available for add-ons in Firefox 77. so removal is the default action. Perhaps that explains my issue.

I think you are wrong there - it is still possible to disable add-ons in v77.01 ....

    Disabling extensions
    1. Click the menu button , click. Add-ons and select Extensions.
    2. Scroll through the list of extensions.
    3. Click. the blue toggle for the extension you wish to disable.

Pete, thanks for pointing out my error. I wrote "Just a late thought..." , which what it was, but, as is often the case with (my) late thoughts, I didn't check before posting. Apologies for being so careless.

With regard to my previous post, I am going to disable the Flagfox add-on and see if it remains on my disabled list for the next few days. If so I'll post back and close the thread on the assumption that I must have done something myself which I cannot recall.

Well, disabled the test app mentioned above and it remains "disabled" Still not sure how or why the original list disappeared. Logically, I must admit, they were deleted by me but if so that is is wholly beyond my recollection. Never deleted any before or on my other computers.

Ah well! I'll close the thread now and thanks for the comments received.
