I did a test call to TechTV at 1-888-989-7879 and now the number belongs to LifeProtect Medical Alert. I called from Talkatone App and acted like I was interested to see what they were offering. I did not divulge any personal information but I am sure it is a scam.

I got a robo call tonight. Asked for me and said that they were from Marriott Hotels offering me a free room. I love these calls anyways. Couldn't hardly understand them. I asked for a English speaking person. He told me he was speaking English. Asked for a supervisor and he said he was a supervisor. Asked him if I could speak to his supervisor or a person that had the power to fire him. He told me to kiss his azz. I told him to get a pencil and paper and I would give him my address and sit on the on my backhoe waiting for him to come over. I asked for a supervisor again. This time some woman got on and she did speak better English. She was as nasty as he was. I told her a few not so gentleman things and she hung up. I guess they let them call centers over seas go back to work.

When I receive "spam" calls in English, I usually speak Swedish until they hang up!

I just called the number again and acted like I was real interested in their product. He told me all about how reliable the medical alert device is. I gave him a fake name (Barney Verizon) and a fake address (made up one). The guy then said he needed to verify my bank account number and routing number for me to get my medical alert device. I told him I was not comfortable. He said we also do by credit card. I told him I was uncomfortable with that as well. HE REPEATS HIMSELF "WOULD YOU LIKE TO USE A CREDIT CARD" LOLOL LIKE A ROBOT. After I said no a second time; he just hung up. They seem to run 100% of the time by scripts. Everything he said sounded like he was reading it.
