    October, 1959 was when I went to the Antarctic. About 3,000 miles South of New Zealand. It was just coming into the summer months. -58 is a respectable temperature. It does get that warm down there now and then. I still have some of my old gear.

    Well, just so the mods don't bounce us for getting all teary-eyed.:

    Hey Guys: What the heck is the TIF file. I did a *.TIF search on this XP Home machine & got a whole bunch of digitial image files including pictures of Grandma. I don't think this is what you are talking about. Just trying to get educated. Christer, you say you think you know what the NFS is, what is it you think you know?:confused:

    Hi martinr121!

    TIF stands for Temporary Internet Files and are of a wide variety.
    They are in the WINDOWS\TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES directory.
    Those files are what downloaded webpages are made of.

    About NFS, well, if I´ve got it right and there is a profanity control on the BBS, it would come out as No ****ing ****!

    Then again, I´m not sure, it´s just a hunch that I have ...... so let´s try it:

    NFS = No ****ing ****
