    Images below.

I have a 256GB SSD left over from when I updated my tablet to 2TB. I would like to use the 256GB SSD in my desktop computer and am not sure which add-in card would best do the job on my Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H Rev 1.2 main board. Main Board Manual The places I've looked are e-bay and NewEgg.com but I get kinda' confused as I've never done this before.

    Thanks for reading.

From the looks of it you need M2 slot on your motherboard. Unfortunately, your motherboard doesn't has a M.2 slot.

I agree with rsinfo - you don't have an M.2 connector on the board.

You will see the M.2 slot and the row of screw fittings to accommodate the various capacity NVMe SSD's..
This is the board in my latest home build comp which I am using at the moment.
I used an Adata 256GB NVMe M.2 with 3000/3500 MB per sec read and write speed for the C: OS only.
    A 500GB SSD handles the D: Partition.

I have had a board with an M.2 slot but unfortunately, it is currently dead.

So are you saying there is no m.2 to PCI adapter that will work? Nothing of the sort is made?

Wouldn't it be better & less headache to go in for SATA SSD ? All these adapters are a hit & miss affair.

I really don't know that much about it so I guess it could be. However, I already have this SSD on hand as a leftover so the cost of the SSD is zero. I ordered an adapter for it yesterday for $7.53. It's coming from China so it may be quite a while before it arrives. See uploaded image. I'll get back here and let everyone know how it works out.

Does it come the M.2 screws? Or have you already got them?

Screws are not mentioned. What is special about them?

I am familiar with that screw from when I replaced the M.2 SSD in my tablet and have here probably a thousand or more screws I've saved from junked laptops so if there isn't one in the package, I'm sure there will be one here that will do the job well enough.

It arrived today. The package contained the screw and the stand-off.
